The nursing application deadline is important, but there's another deadline you should be aware of.

When you're preparing to apply to an ADN program, it's easy to focus on the one date that matters most: the nursing application deadline.

But some programs have required steps that must be completed before the application window even opens.

Check for Required Steps First

Depending on the program, you may need to:

• Attend a required nursing information session by a specific deadline
• Submit a nursing prerequisite evaluation by a specific deadline if you completed courses at a different college

Once you know which ADN programs you're interested in, go to each nursing program's website and check whether there are any required steps you need to complete beforehand and when they are due.

You don't want to be ready to apply only to find out you missed a required step that had an earlier deadline.
