Before You Register for the TEAS, Check This First

You’re ready to take the TEAS, you choose a test date, and you register.

But did you check whether your ADN programs will accept the testing format you chose?

TEAS testing policies can vary by program. Some ADN programs accept both in-person and online TEAS exams, while others only accept scores from an in-person exam.

We’ve also noticed some programs moving toward in-person TEAS testing for newer application cycles, which makes it even more important to check the current policy before registering.

Before paying for and scheduling your TEAS, go to each nursing program’s website and confirm whether they accept:

• In-person
• Online
• Both

If you’re applying to multiple programs, make sure the TEAS format you choose will be accepted by every program on your list.

Check first, then register. You don’t want to take the TEAS only to find out later that one of your programs won’t accept your score.
